Champions are recognized for their efforts toward Sodexo employees, clients, customers, and the communities Sodexo serves.
Sodexo's Champions of Diversity program recognizes employees who go above and beyond to advance diversity and inclusion at Sodexo.
Our most recent Champions of Diversity winner was Rosa Coppedge, Director, Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action, Corporate Headquarters, MD. Given Rosa's role, she is well positioned to offer a broader knowledge of the company and drive for Sodexo's culture. Rosa remains connected with the field as she oversees compliance with Affirmative Action and oversees the quality of our EEO/AA training. Both newly hired and seasoned employees are comfortable sharing their perspectives with Rosa, and she helps them resolve any concerns they raise to her.
She collaborates with and provides guidance for unit level managers, and helps to equip them to conduct good faith outreach in their recruiting efforts, consider accommodations for disabilities, etc.
Rosa has initiated a number of successful initiatives at Sodexo, for example taking the lead for the Disabilities Task Force which evolved to the formation of Sodexo Organization for disAbility Resources (SOAR) Network Group, and her leadership involvement at the inception of the African American Leadership Forum (AALF) Network Group's highly successful Peer2Peer Mentoring program. Rosa enjoys being of service to her community and seeks out opportunities that will benefit others. She is a volunteer with the Maryland Literacy Council tutoring Hispanic speaking residents in English, and is currently in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish.
Rosa has also tutored elementary school aged children in reading comprehension. Recently Rosa connected her passion for travel with her desire to give back by traveling to LeCieba, Honduras to build six houses through the Habitat for Humanity Organization.

Meet Our People
Meet Norma Nunnally, Human Resources Manager in Springfield, Massachusetts. As a Human Resources Manager for public schools her job is to make sure the schools for her account have enough staff and that the staff is trained and paid on time and correctly.
