Fellowship designed to foster leadership, encourage professional discourse and establish an ongoing mentor culture for women

GAITHERSBURG, MD, October 21, 2005 - Sodexho USA (NYSE:SDX), the nation's leading provider of food and facilities management services, announced today that Joan Rector McGlockton, senior vice president for corporate affairs and compliance, has been selected by the International Women's Forum Leadership Foundation (IWF) to be a 2006 Foundation Fellow. McGlockton is one of a select group of diverse women invited to participate in this elite fellowship program designed to foster leadership, encourage professional discourse and establish an ongoing mentor culture for women.

“I am honored to be selected as a Fellow and welcome this extraordinary opportunity to represent Sodexho and collaborate with such a prestigious and talented group of global female leaders,” said McGlockton. “I look forward to sharing my own professional experiences and gaining insight, expertise and knowledge from my fellow colleagues.”

McGlockton is among an international group of only 16 women selected as Foundation Fellows based on their exceptional potential. Each Fellow is teamed with an IWF mentor who is at the top of her respected field in business, politics, the arts, the sciences or academia. Throughout the year, Fellows receive ongoing leadership training, a customized week-long educational program at Harvard University's Business School, a tailored four day program of curriculum at Cambridge University's Judge Institute of Management Studies and a special invitation to attend IWF's Global Conference. In addition, this year's class will attend professional development training sessions in conjunction with the IWF World Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.

As senior vice president for corporate affairs and compliance, McGlockton provides strategic guidance to enhance Sodexho's position as a leader in corporate citizenship, develops policies to promote responsible business practices, and identifies emerging issues and responses to mitigate business risks. In addition, McGlockton provides leadership in the area of corporate governance, overseeing the company's legal compliance function and also serves as the corporate liaison for Sodexho's Business Advisory Board which provides strategic counsel to executive leadership.

McGlockton is also a member of several not-for-profit boards including the Sodexho Foundation, the American Dietetic Association Foundation and the Howard University School of Business Hospitality Advisory Board. McGlockton has served in leadership positions with professional, educational and civic organizations including the Duke University Council on Women Studies, and the Coalition of 100 Black Women. She received her bachelor's degree from Duke University and law degree from Harvard Law School.
