GAITHERSBURG, Md.-December 7, 2006- Sodexho (NYSE:SDX) announced today that the company's Government Services Division was awarded an eight-year contract to provide food service operations to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at the White Oak Complex in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Under this new agreement, Sodexho will operate a cafeteria and a coffee bar/barista featuring Starbucks coffee at the White Oak Complex with plans to open an additional cafeteria as the FDA campus expands. Currently, there are about 2,000 employees at the office, but the FDA projects that the complex will hold 8,800 employees after a planned expansion.

The new agreement with the FDA is one of several government-related contracts Sodexho won during 2006. Other new agreements of note include a contract with the Naval Air Station Pensacola in Pensacola, Fla. to provide catering services at the facility's Mustin Beach Officers' Club at Lighthouse Point and a retail dining contract at NASA's White Sands Testing Facility in Las Cruces, N.M.
