GAITHERSBURG, Md., March 29, 2007- By providing funding and sharing resources with a specialized marketing and communication researcher, Sodexho (NYSE: SDX) will explore the effectiveness of on-line interactive diet, fitness and weight management programs aimed at Hispanic audiences.
The first-time collaboration between Sodexho and marketing communication research firm DrTango, Inc, will enable researchers to reach Hispanic patients at selected Sodexho health care clients nationwide, assisted by Sodexho's network of registered dietitians. The multi-year study will help increase understanding of how diet and weight loss solutions can positively affect Hispanics in the U.S. The study is also being supported by a $400,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
